Ca 24" spin outs

I have a ca with spinouts. One had a flat and now after I had it sandblasted, welded a couple rust holes, totally repainted it, put a new tube and tire on the rim. After all that now the rim will not lock in place.. all it will do is slide back and forth. Has anyone else had an issue like this.. what can be done to fix it.. I even welded extra beads to the cams but that didn't help..Thanx JM

Yes I now have the moveable stops but it still wobbles back and forth. Before I had removed the wheel it didn't have those stops and was still tight.

are the wedges in place? they are about a 1-1/2" long square stock that rid in between the rail and stop/ecsentrics
easy to drop out when cleaning. Don't ask me how I know.

I was wrong earlier. I do not have those wedges. Can they be made or bought. Are there any part numbers or diagram to see what i'm missing.

I may have some of those wedges. I have what is left of an old spin out 24 inch rim off of some model of AC tractor that is rusted out

Someone should be able to come up with those wedges. The same
ones were used on MF if you don't have any luck finding them in
AC. That style can be a bugger to get tight. I've got them on a
couple of my Masseys. If I had any spares I'd help you out.

I am sure you have checked this, but I have overlooked the obvious in the past, Are the adjustment lugs turned all the way to the
right? Sometimes you think the have them tight, but the lug is not turned all the way. Also, if the rail has been worn down,
they will slip.

Sounds like you're missing the blocks that the cams push against to tighten the rails. They are just made out of square steel with a notch in the middle.
