What do I have?

If you really don't have a clue, you'd better post a picture to get things started. The serial number is the correct way, but unless I have a picture, I can't tell you where the serial number is located. How about transmission speeds?? 3 or 4 ? Hand brakes?? foot brakes?? 4 cylinder engine or 6 cylinder? you've got to help a little bit.

4 speed, foot brakes, 4 cylinder. I'll get some pics when the sun comes up. I was told it's a 47-49

(quoted from post at 06:08:24 02/28/16) Almost has to be a WD if its a 4 speed with foot brakes and its either a 47 or 48.

I remember it use to have a front and rear cultivator on it to plow a field vwhen I was a kid. It also has tri cycle wheels on the front and a drum on the rear by the PTO to run a mill

4 speed and rear belt pulley complicate things. The WD had the pulley on the side and the B/C were only 3 speed. A picture would really help. If you can't get one posted, send me an e-mail aaron_cummings(at)hotmail.com and I'll get it up for you.

4 speed, 4 cylinder, belt pulley beside the PTO on the rear, foot brakes, tricycle type. Most likely a CA. Serial number is on transmission case by the shift lever if I recall, year and serial number list is on this site.

(quoted from post at 08:23:46 02/28/16) I agree with DrAllis, it sounds like a CA. Does it have a foot AND hand clutch?

Just got back if from further inspection and it is a CA. Yes it has foot hand clutch I think. There is a lever on the right axle housing. The number on the transmission is CA7967.

(quoted from post at 11:42:47 02/28/16) By the s/n given, it is a 1951 model. 1950 was the first year.

Thanks! I'm just learning how to navigate through the site and found the chart just before you replied. Well I just got a Ford 8n also that's the same year model. Now I need to find parts for the Allis Chalmers
