A little O.T. Alaska last frontier

Watched the latest episode last night. They needed a lightweight tractor to pull the covered wagon thru some sensitive area. I think they picked up a B Allis and weighed it at 998#. It needed to be under a thousand. Not sure what model, but I am almost certain the tractor would have weighed much more than that! My 682 Cub Cadet is listed at 850#. The Ford or Ferguson weighed twice as much.

The Allis Chalmers B weighs about 2,000Lbs. on up. I watch some of these shows and they do a lot of dumb things but they put these shows on TV and most people wouldn't know the difference.

Hi Roy,
I like that show too. Where are you watching the newer seasons on? I can't find any on HULU past season 4. I really enjoy the show. Thank you.

Last night on Moonshiners right roll on corn head stopped up . Took 2 mechanics several hours to replace belt up near the cylinder!!With that kind of nonsense no wonder city folks have no idea about farming or any mechanics for that matter.

I agree. The B weighs at least 2000lbs. Just shows what they will do to make a TV show. I have been told there is a Walmart within 20 miles of all that hardship.

I suspect if the law had said they couldn't use anything over 500 pounds, their scale would have said it weighed 498 pounds.

Did you see how slow they were going? Laughable....
