My Dad has a CA just like that one. Really neat little tractor with hand clutch and live hydraulics. Better than the C, which every time you pushed in the clutch to maneuver around trees, the woods mower would stop. We will be working on the CA and one of my MH30s this summer.

I had one like that. I travelled quite a ways, twice, to get it, partially dismantled. About the time I got it fixed up, I found out about one very close by with electric start,(and foot brakes). I quickly tired of the hand start, and sold it, and bought the nearby one.

That was before the day of the Allis Square baler, But my closest neighbor would put his D-17 in first gear at a idle, and get on the rack and throw one bale of the left side, the next one off the right side, get to the end turn it around, head the other direction, and proceed to empty the rack, But it was about a 4-5 acre pasture where he feed his cattle. He was all by himself,he did what he had to do to get by ! Plus he put up plenty of hay for his 100 cows and 100 ewes, with a square baler and a bale handling system!

That is an early B. you can tell by the front axle. I had a neighbor two houses up that had a 38 with sickle bar mower. It would start on the second pull of the crank.
