How much does a D17 weight? Tractor data is wrong more than it is correct and I may have to haul a D17 about three hours down the road and want to take the correct trailer for the load. I don't know what series it is and it has at least one weight on each side and I am trying to find out if it has fluid or not. Thanks in advance Greg NE

In Nebraska Test #635 of a gas powered D17 during Nov of 1957 the bare tractor with no added weight and 14-28 rear tires weighed 4659lb. With the standard factory 75% CaCl fill in the rear tires the weight would be about 6095lb. Iron wheel weights that we used on Allis WCs weighed 150lb each. You should be able to estimate wheel weights when you see them and they are easily removable.
