exhaust manifold

I always replace them. The cost is justified in my mind because i dont want all that crap, sand, rust, whatever being drawn into the engine.
 
you do realize them things just unbolt, then you can clean them away from the tractor.. so that no rust or sand actually gets on the tractor right? ;)
 
I have always had good luck with electrolysis, if you feed a coat hanger or other metal rod isolated with a couple of corks or hose to
keep it from touching the metal it will do a great job of getting the rust out.
 
Except the stuff that gets trapped inside, then the intake side, or if timing is off. I dont really want to chance having sand in my cylinders.
