I am still trying to rescue my 1942 Allis Chalmers C. I got to the point where I am putting on the wiring. I got the wiring harness from Steiner. The wiring diagram in the manual leaves a little to be desired for a slow learner like me, but I managed to find a better one that is color coded. If there better ones out there, I would like to know.
The problem now is the light switch. I got a three position light switch from Steiner (ACS139). It is quite a bit different from the old switch. I do not see how it fits into the electric box without touching a side and grounding out. What is the deal?
Second problem is I am not sure the wiring harness included wires for the lights. Does anyone have experience with Steiner wiring harness? Or, am I going to have to run a separate wire from the light switch to the lights?
Anything else I need to watch out for so I do not fry a generator, etc.
Thanks in advance
Larry
