Answer to the'stepped' steering wheel

A few days ago, I asked what the meaning of a 'stepped' steering wheel was. I bought one for the '39 Allis B. The wheel is 'stepped' on the lower portion to fit into the steering shaft tube, which might keep some dirt and water out. Pictures attached, with the B in its current state of undress. Engine and final drives are finished. Small parts need to be cleaned up and primed/painted. Then the main hulk will be cleaned, blasted and primed/painted. One of my winter projects.

I really like the wooden stand you made, being as I have B, C, and CA, I am going to make one out of steel. I don't mind copying good ideas!
