1977 F-2 had a 301 6 cylinder 85 HP diesel like a 185 tractor or a GM292 gas. 1978 and newer F-2-3's had 4-cylinder 200 cubic inch turbo-intercooled diesel like a 6080 tractor @95 HP or a GM292 gas.

I know this is off the wall and im good for off the wall
but will a 6080 engine thrust bearing handle a
normal automotive clutch? Im aware this is
speculation but im curious.

I can't think of any "automotive" type clutch that would be as bad as that dual-type European clutch was when it comes to putting pressure on the engines thrust bearing. This wasn't necessarily an engine issue, but a clutch issue, simply being too much for the engine in a 6080 tractor.

My 6060 has a factory update. A roller bearing on the front of the crank. I never run long with the PTO disengaged.
