Im looking at an AC 8070 MFWD 5500 Hrs, would run my Hesston 3x4 baler and my Case 770 Disc. Any body have any experiences with these machines? Thanks

In 1982, they were the most modern tractor out there. Largest cab in the industry, FWA that turned pretty short, hydraulics that were second to none, a good 12-speed Power Shift transmission, etc, etc. Now, that being said, an 8070 with 5,500 hrs on it, probably needs the engine overhauled if it is a Front Assist tractor. Remember, you're looking at a tractor that is 30 plus years old and that might even be the second hour meter. They were bought to work hard in the field, not piddle around with, so everything could be pretty shook if not cared for properly. Look at the PTO shaft, as it is a large diameter 1000 RPM from the Factory.
