9 spring clutch

so we are getting to work on my pulling wd now that it is snowing and there isnt any better outside farm work to be done. It is doing to be a wd with a pulling cam, bigger carb, 8th inch overbore, with a wd45 crank and a mild port and polish. cam is ground to 175 specs by the outfit up in Minnesota. i am wondering where to get a 9 spring clutch, i know a few of this sites sponsors have them but am wondering if there are any different ones out there. i know this isnt alot of horsepower to hold back buy it does get used on the farm so it needs to be able to be slipped when backing up to implements ect, and it also needs to last a long time.

The WD came out with the 6 spring and the WD-45 came out with the 9 spring Pressure Plate..
Either can interchange, but definitely use the 9 spring..
The 175 engine used a different Governor spring that raised the RPM a good amount..will you be allowed use the added RPM..?
You will be wanting to use all you are allowed..

yes we will be using the 175 spring, forgot to put that in the original post, also posted on the unoffical allis forum and they recommended rick corder, i contacted him and he is setting me up with a 9 springer and 6 pad puck disk clutch.

Some correct information on correct governor springs. A 170/175 governor spring will only yield 1800 RPM when using WD/ D-17 governor weights. The same 170/175 spring will yield 2000 RPM when using 170/175 governor weights. A D-17 spring should yield 2,000 RPM when using WD/D-17 weights. Now, that being said, I purchased new 170/175 governor weights and a new 170/175 governor spring a little over a year ago and wound up at 2300 RPM top speed. Both the governor weights and spring were NOT made to original OEM specs. Whomever AGCO has producing these parts apparently can't read an engineering print, and AGCO Parts isn't smart enough to inspect them for quality and accuracy. Either that or the parts I got were simply tagged incorrectly, which is again, AGCO's fault. Good luck finding correct parts.
