D15 Series II Decals

Last night my Dad made comment that the paint on our D15 Series II is getting pretty shabby (it's been refreshed at least once since '63, clearly has two layers of decals on it, and its been roasted in the Az sun for all its life).

My question is what are other people doing for decals on the series II D15's?. I think it has to do with the big white background and relative low demand compared to other tractors, but WOW are the full sets for the Series II D15 EXPENSIVE!

Thanks!

Sadly, yes I have seen them. They want $110 for the series II (the less expensive ones they have are for series I). When your use to buying WD45 decals in the 30 to 40 dollar range, thats expensive.

Might have to buy them, but if Im going to spend that type of money, I hope to find a few people who have allready done it, in hopes of getting the best ones.

If you're buying WD45 decal sets that cheap, they must be the poorer quality and not OEM looking ones.......the ones that have the "WD-45" decal that looks like a Kindergartener drew it on a piece of paper. Some people don't notice to difference !! Good quality, correct looking WD45 decals cost closer to $100 than $50.

I agree to the point that some WD45 sets are so wrong its not even funny, case in point, the ones on this site. From
there, I have to respectfully disagree. I have the book "Original Allis-Chalmers 1937-57" by Guy Fay and Andy Kraushaar, which includes the
single WD45 and the side of the tractor, that to my understanding are correct. One of this sites competitors, who have a name of the same abbreviation as "As Soon As
Possible", sells a mylar set for $36, first picture, that though maybe not accurate down to the fraction of the inch, are "good enough for government work."
Perhaps the vinyl are better quality, but for $62 I'll go mylar.
