D 15 Hyd Woes

Always a lurker here. I am in the final throws of restoring a D 15 II. It sat in the barn for a few years after tear down and electrolysis. No history. It has the usual transport valve and a single spool remote valve. It now starts and runs out well.

With the remote disconnected from the transport (as it should be for rock shaft operation), when it is started up the rock shaft goes immediately to full up and stays there regardless of where the lift control lever is.

if you shut it down the rock shaft stays to full up. So when I plug the remote back into the transport valve with the tractor shut down, the rock shaft goes smoothly to the full down position.

I was going to tear down the transport for the hey of it thinking that it should bleed the pressure off through the T fitting, same as going thru the remote and then to the T and back to the sump. I have tried the knob adjustment on the transport from full closed to full open with no effect. I would like to get back on it tomorrow but am currently stumped short of disassemble of the transport as a shot in the dark.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

thanx

My 14 did that, according to the manual, under the tractor, by the clutch petal, there's an adjustable rod. Loosen the lock nuts and adjust the rod one way or the other.

Cole, did the adjustment resolve your issue?

i am gonna be in that manual in the morning, I am needing some separation from it right now,

thanx
