L2 Gleaner intro list price?

Just looking through some old sales brochures and saw one for a L2 from 1977. I think the dealer told dad back in the day that around 55,000 would have bought hydro base with mud hog, 6 row 30 inch head, and 15 foot platform. The local dealer was a pretty good discounter so list might be a few thousand above the 55,000 I threw out.

I have a neighbor, that bought 2 of the straight L's, and i think they had the 426 engines, with a 20 ft and a smaller head with a Pickup, and he paid 105,000 for both. what ever yr that was i am not sure.

I don't know. Where we are back in the 1970's I would say three and four row machines were the largest sellers so maybe the local dealer was willing to discount heavily to get a big machine out the door not that he never sold a fair amount of M's and L's plus the "2's". I would say out of the four rows I mentioned quite a few went on M's and Deere 6600's.
