need wd45 parts

I'm restoring my 1956 wd45 and discovered the rocker arm bar in two pieces and also 2 of the brackets that bolt to the head have been repaired. There is also a tin bracket on top in 2 pieces. The block and head are in the machine shop. No turning back now. Where is the best place to get engine rebuild kit? Also the bushings in the front axle are worn and I can't find them anywhere. John

If you find you have a choice, get the 4 1/8" kit for a D-17..( 7.4:1 Comp.)... Most likely the same price..!

Hope you are going to 12V..it is handier and they spin over much better..

Me I like the 4 1/8 gleaner kit but you can't get the
complete overhaul kit for any d17 and use it in a 45.
The main and thrust bearings are different. A d17 is
7:1 the flat tops for a combine are 9:1 give or take.
Got to tweek the timing a couple degrees but works
great. You have to run twelve volt though. If you are
looking for a bone stock restoration six will work but
use at least 00 cable. I got my kit from tisco but I
believe they offer one from this site.
