Hey all, new to the tractor work stuff, I bought an old bull dozer I was told from the middle 40's, it has had hydraulics added to it, I can find no tags or serial numbers on it, to help identify, only marking is a M on one side of the radiator any help on where to look for numbers or anything to help identify it, I need a carb kit or something its a smaller model, 4 cylender flat head engine, thanks again

Post a picture of it here or in the help identify section. Not sure AC ever used a flathead in a dozer.

The Allis M crawler was the smallest one built. They were built from 1932-1942. They had the same Allis engine that was in the U and UC
tractors, these tractors were first built with a Continental flat head and therefore someone could have installed a Continental engine in
there from a tractor. That engine would not be factory to the crawler. Pictures would be nice.

It's an M. The serial # is hand stamped on the right side of the transmission by the clutch inspection cover. It will say M####. From that we
can tell you the year. It has the Allis UM engine and the carb they came with was a Zenith K5. Have you had it running? A common problem with
them is the steering clutches.

Yes it runs decently, but needs a carb rebuild, leaks gas, and runs really rich, steering clutch's and everything else works great, except whoever made the parts for the blade, as its homemade. Was a lousy welder
