Wiring Diagram for a D-14

I normally work on Farmall's but have taken on a project for the wife's uncle to get his D-14 running. I'm having to go completely through the engine, clutch, water pump, brakes, etc. Somebody in the past has totally screwed up the wiring. I know it used to be a positive ground using a generator but it has been converted over to a 12 Volt negative ground using a 3 wire alternator. Does anybody have a wiring diagram for a 3 wire alternator setup? At present it does not have a key switch, but three switches to get it to run. Totally screwed up. Any help is appreciated.

There were 3 versions of the D14. We make wiring harnesses to fit all of those, including alternator conversions.
If you wish to build your own wiring, you would need to identify the serial number to determine the series, and you can find the original wiring diagram in the factory operator manual, the factory service manual or the I&T service manual that covers all of the D14 versions.

There are also illustrations showing the back side of the instrument panel and harness routing in the parts book.
You can view the parts book for free at: http://www.agcopartsbooks.com/PartsBooksN/login.aspx?region=NorthAmerica

Once you have the original wiring diagram, you will see that the wiring is close to many Farmalls from the same vintage. Use the same wiring setup that you would use with an alternator conversion on a 340 through 560 tractor.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I have the original diagram for a generator. And the IT manual and service manual. With those I think I can make it.

Here's a basic diagram of alternator hookup. Switch configurations may vary among different models

That's exactly what I was looking for. It will be a big help as the wiring on this D-14 is so totally screwed up. Thank you.
