D-17 Brake Pin

I'm sure this is common with anyone who has removed brakes from a D-17. I am trying to remove the pin on a 1959
series 1 D-17. Obviously it doesn't want to budge. Other than heating and pounding on it, are there any suggestions
for removing the bottom pin so I can remove the brakes. Thanks in advance.

Only one way that is a sure way.
I had to remove pins from the wd45
I tried evening the only one that is the sure way is to cut them off from the bottom
Pound them in cut agin pound in and out they fly.
Now the rest Of the pin came out easer but remember doubt cut the pin to short so you can't get a needle
Nose vice grip on it if still tite heat pin let cool heat again let cool then pin will shink ant come out.
Look at pics. I am now adding lining and reinstalling them

Now for the new pins use a grade 8 bolt leve it 3/4 longer cut notch for holding clip and leve the nut on and you will never have th worry how to get them out again put a wrench on nut add a 4 foot pipe and it will come out easy

Sure, one sure way is torch, but like skyhigh says, look back a couple pages. I prefer the flat iron welded to the pin, use candle wax as it cools, and re-use the pin.
