What is the correct way to set and install these ? I do have a I&T manual but it does not seem clear to me as the way they say. I do know that the wrist pin lock bolt goes to camshaft side.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks

There have been MANY of these engines ruined because of this being done WRONG !!!!... So, with pistons on the connecting rods (pistons usually have a mark/notch on them for forward...make them all the same) and the pinch bolts loose, lay all four assemblies flat on a bench (pinch bolt up) with #4 on the left....then #3.....then #2.....then #1 on the right. This is just as they would be in the engine when the looking at the right side. Have the pinch bolts up. Grab rods #1 and #2 and squeeze them towards each other. With rods #1 and #2 squeezed together, make each of their piston pins flush on the sides where #1 and #2 pistons meet each other. Snug the pinch bolts and then take each one to a vice with a punch secured in the vice and slide the piston pin on the punch and torque the pinch bolt. Do the same to #3 and #4. A picture of this scenario makes it much easier to understand.
