Allis TL payloader

I believe I have found a TL style payloader. It hasn't run in 5 or 6 years. Would it be worth trying to buy it or are these such a dinosaur they aren't worth it? Can a person even get parts for it ? The owner knows the brakes had never worked for him. Apparently it doesn't turn very sharp with rear steering either. The plus is it is a diesel.

All the TL20's were diesels. The early ones were 4 cylinder 344 ci and then 6 cylinder 516ci and finally the 10000 series. About a 25 foot turning radius.

I ve noticed there is not much on the 20's online. I would like to try and buy this one. Getting it the three miles home might be a challenge! Is there any place I can get information on this machine ? I'd like to learn as much as I can before I get in over my head.

Lonnie you seem to know a little about these. From what you have seen in these pics what is a fair price for me to offer on it as it sits. Going on running condition will be unknown at this time.

In not running condition you have no idea what shape anything is in from the engine to the drivetrain and restoring it could get very expensive, even just getting it usable may not be cheap. It weighs around 23,000 pounds so offer something around scrap value and work your way up if need be depending on how bad you want it.

Quite heavy isn't it. I don't know how bad I really need it. I remember it being used on a farm when I was a kid. My best friends dad and grandpa used it then. That was only 20 or 25 years ago. I'll make an offer I can live with and see where it takes me . Thanks everyone for all the help!
