WD-45 pto lockup

Hey crazy problem, I wonder if you have ever had this happen. I was baling with my WD-45 gas and stopped to check the bale weight and when I got back on the pto wouldnt engage, wont budge, I tried tapping it, engine on and off, and clutch in and out, wont budge, any ideas?

As in the lever will not move or what?? Look for something that has fallen down and got in the way or other such things if you can not move the lever.

hmm it doesn’t leak that I’m aware of and a couple years ago I filled it with straight lucas because it knocks a little, it was working well and I shut it off, would it just lock up on its own after being turned off? The shaft doesnt even try to move

Yes since if nothing will spin the straight cut gears can not move enough to engage. Cot you turn the PTO by hand??

I'll try tomorrow, I was baling and had no time, so I just droppred the baler parked the 45 and kept baling with the D-14

I may be crazy or have somthing strange. Either is possible but I have a as d and a 45 and both the pto gearbox run in the hydraulic oil. They are not a separate sump

WD and WD45 have separate hyd only reservoirs. PTO runs in the same 17 qts that the tranny runs in.

They run off of the transmission and use the transmission oil 80-90, for lubrication. The hydraulics sump is farther front on the tractor. Bob

More then one bearing in them. Plus a set of gears that have to mesh so may have a gear with burrs etc or the front bearing is bad and has locked up

haha I was using the tractor to rake with and I was telling a friend about the pto and when Iwent to show how the lever didnt work it went right in! Raking must've jostled something in there

Nothing in there should be able to be "jostled". Glad she's working now, but when you have some dead time I'd drop the PTO gearbox and try to see what is going on.
