Tappet clearance cold on WD-45

I've done a complete overhaul on a WD-45 and I set the tappet clearance at .014" on the intake and .016" on the exhaust. The book says .012" warm but obviously it's not going to be warm. Is this enough clearance or should I open it up more? Thanks.

I wouldn't open them up more. My guess would be that they will be noisy enough at the setting
you have now. My book says 10 hot or cold for both. I would leave it as is and re set them after you re torque the head after it has been warmed up. I personally would set them both at 12 thousands when I re torqued and re set the valve rocker arm clearance. I have always set the clearances a thousands or two more than the book even though I know the book setting would be fine.

What do you torque the rocker arms at?
