Well hopefully I have this posted in the right spot unlike my post prior regarding the Ferguson I had questions about..

I recently got a 185 running thats been sitting for years... I moved it around some but before I got into depth with it I had a question..

On the right side of the steering wheel, to the left of the throttle lever there is another lever. Seems to have 3 positions front to back. Also on the left side of the wheel there is another lever seems to just have 2 positions..

What are they? No tags indicating anything..

Right lever is for the power director, forward is high side, center is neutral, back is low side. Left lever is for the pto, forward engaged, back is stopped.
 
just in case you don't know the power dir is a shift on the go and when warm you can sometimes shift the gears. this is also where you get live power on the pto(wheels stop but pto keeps running).on the pto lever(left)I prefer to engage with the clutch depressed as not sure how heavy clutch in pto is. hope this helps. I might add power dir lever is neutral in the center.185 is good tractor if your not in a hurry to shift gears. had one since 1990. advise you to get owners manual.
 

Thank you!! I wonder do you know much about the 7030? I also got that one running this week. Sat 7 or so years I guess.. I noticed it has a speed with 2 ranges.. On the right side of the cab there is another shift lever.... Park, Slow, fast.... Is this the "powershift" Ive heard about?
 
The 7030 is a different animal entirely. The lever on the right is the range shifter. The power director has a valve under the
floor plate and two buttons on the floor. You shift it by pushing one or the other down with your foot. It is spring loaded to low
with a hydraulic detent in high. Pushing the clutch pedal down while in high should default back to low.
