wd45 12v Ignition Coil

Hello,

I want to replace my internally resisted 12v ignition coil with something I can buy today from the auto parts store. I read online that I need a 3.0 ohm coil but I can't tell the guy at the auto parts store that . . . he can only search by vehicle. Does anyone know what vehicle used a 12v internally resisted 3.0 ohm coil?

Thanks,

Adam

It would be more accurate to ask for a coil that does not require an external resistor, 'cause (with a FEW) exceptions there's no such thing as an "internally resisted coil.

A true 12 Volt coil is simply wound with more turns of wire in the primary than one the requires an external resistor, and has NO discrete internal resistor.

ANYHOW, asking for a NAPA IC14SB or equivalent should get you what you need.

The IC14SB from Napa works great. I'm still having mysterious issues with misfiring but I don't think it is the coil. Thanks
