D-17 ignition question

I use about the hottest Autolite spark plug I can get in my old AC engines.

I believe the D17 started out with the short reach (3/8") plug, then switched to the long reach (3/4") plug. I suppose a search on AGCO parts might give a serial number break. You can tell by measuring the depth of the threads in the head. Most likely, they have not been mixed up, but you never know!

Early short reach plugs, I'd use autolite 303 or if you want a slightly hotter plug go with the tried & true autolite 295. I don't know what works best with the 3/4" reach plug heads.
