just picked up a wd45 diesel going to use it as a small 5-10 acre farming tractor for plowing and disking along with other tractors what should I look out for I picked up a good running strong one with power steering

Well that's more of a tractor to put in moth balls, and brag that u got one, but as far as a hobby farm tractor, you would be off with a gas 45,or similar tractor, Just my opinion .

Dad bought a diesel back in 74. The head, injectors, and pump have never been off since dad bought it. I have it now.

I've had a couple of the 230 Buda engines in a WD45D and a Cockshutt 40 diesel, really a pretty good engine I'd say same basic engine as the D17 diesel and the D19D.Not a good starting engine in cold weather but most indirect injection engines don't start well in cold weather.

Warm them up before working them, and cool them down before shutting them off. If the previous owner followed these rules you should be good to go.

That's got to be pretty rare. They only made about 6500 diesels don't think that many trike front ends. Make sure to keep it nice and show it a lot. That's something to be proud of you have.

You can bolt the single front on in an hour or so. You can see that that one had a wide front on it at one time by the paint missing on the four tapped holes on the front of the pedestal. Mine, before and after....
