Allis CA Hand Clutch

Hello all, I am relatively new to AC tractors, having been primarily working on Farmall's. I am looking at a CA that the hand clutch has been disabled/removed at some point. How common are the parts and how expensive do the parts typically run to put it back in working order? I do not know how much of it is still on the tractor, and what is how good of shape it is in, I would assume at this point that it all needs to be reworked/replaced.

Thank you for the information.

The hand clutch parts are like finding hens teeth and that is why many have been bolted up

What was so problematic about theseset ups? Tbe friction disk is $90 from one of my suppliers. This site doesn't offer them.what else wears out in them? I ask because I really want a CA and am wondering what problems ill have.

They are a dry disk set up and are pretty jerky, nothing like the smooth operation of the oil bath clutches used in a WD/WD45 or the D14-D19.Still better than not being able to stop the tractor without stopping the PTO.If you take yours out check the shaft the disk is on as they have a habit of wearing a groove and won't engaged right if they have too much of a groove.
