have been offered a WC ?

have never even seen it but it has been offered to me from a good friend and client I've known and trust for yrs
his father passed away a few wks back and was his
has a working loader, 3 point hitch conversion newer tires on rear and comes with a snow blower from what e told me today

hes not sure of what hes got but from his comments and my questions I think he has a WC with a WD45 rear and trans

as I own a WD & a WD45 he has looked them both over an pointed out differances from either of mine and the simalaritys
he said the battery box is bolted to the frame on the left side lettering on the hood is large A n S but there is no decals on rad sides indicating a WC or WD
said the shifter looked the same as on my 45 as its curved
serial num starts with WD
has no belt pully and narrow front
his father told him he thought it was built in 1947

my thoughts are it's a WC front half with a WD45 rear half
the pto is not working since last yr and he was checking out my parts 45 last yr and said it looked the same as his dads and was going to get my parts to see if he could swap them out

basicly he has no place for it and has offered it to me for scrap price as he has to settle the estate

at worse I'd buy so he could still know it's around and sell it back in the future should he want it back
I'll have to get down there to look it over but don't really have a use or need for it
if it is a WC then having the 3 generations of tractor would be nice as well
all I will need now is an unstyled one to complete the set

I will post pics once I get to see it in person
should I offer more than scrap price or is it all its worth from the info I have

WD's & 45's around me go from 800 - 1200 running in work clothes n good tires but theres no WC's for sale around here that I can find

WD and WC used the same engines. Most of the sheet metal if not all will swap. WC did not have hyds but the WD and WD45 did so may in fact be a WD or WD45 and who knows someone may have set a WC hood on etc.

You can"t physically connect a WC and WD in the middle- I"ll go with thinking it"s a WD. SN says it all.
