Ok I've gone and lost a part now what?

I have faithfully kept the nuts and bolts for the cultivator frame on my 42 B in the same place for years. Along with that is the small connecting rod for the handle. I go to assemble the cultivator frame on this year and no bots nor that connecting rod to be found. Can't remember leaving them anywhere but can't find them. (old age setting in I guess) Well after looking for a couple hours I give up and call it a night. I can replace the nuts and bolts with new hardware but that connecting rod is another matter. Where would anyone look to replace it? If I were able to have one made or I make it myself I can't as I don't have measurements to do so. I'm basically stuck with a useless hand lift set of cultivators with out it. I have corn coming up and other things that will need to be hilled up and this cultivator works all summer long. I'm going to be up to my eye balls in no time without it.

I'm hoping that someone has one they can sell me or one they can trace and send me a pattern to get one made. Maybe I can get this thing up and running. If anyone has any idea how to do something else that would great. Thanks guys.

If that bar is for lift only (no down pressure) you could replace it with a length of chain.....might take some experimenting to get the bolt in the right link.

The hand lift attaches to the cultivators and the handle attaches to this hand lift and has a rod that goes out to a rocker plate. From this plate to the the attachment at the cultivator there is a rod that I have lost. It connects under a figure 8" plate that lifts the locks up so the it can be lifted or set down when the handle is used. It's about 1/4" round rod with a 90° bend at the top with a hole for a cotter key and a hook on the other end. It has to be fished around that figure 8 plate when mounted. About a foot long but I'm not sure on that. I'd have to measure.

I drew it up in Autocad. It looks like the drawing attached. (hope the drawing is there)

I pulled a rod off a set of B cultivators, the rod runs from the lift handle assembly back to main frame on the cultivator. It has a 90 degree on both ends with a hole on each end for a carter pin Its about a foot or so long but its about 3/4 inch in diameter. If you think thats it email me your name and address and I'll mail it out Tuesday as the Post office is closed Monday.

Thanks for the help. Went Saturday and measured everything and made one. It was 1/4" rod and mine was 8" long so if the rod you describe is 12" then they may have changed the design. Mine clearly has a hook at the bottom with no hole and 90° at the top. It works now so thanks.
