C A front end wobble

My CA in road gear the narrow front pedestal wobbles left and right, if I cit the wheel a hard right or left the wheels track straight until I hit a bump and then the wobble starts, any ideas?

There are shims where the pedestal bolts to the tractor. Removing shims will close the gear gap and will reduce or eliminate wobble. Easy fix.

Actually the only way to tell is to remove the drag link on one end and jack up the front. Then you can check for play at each pivot point. It could be a little on each place. The gear box can have play. the drive link can have play and the gear in the pedestal can have play. The CA has two palls in the gear box and are not as prone to being shot to the point of replacement but still could be a problem. As stated you can remove shims to tighten the gears in the pedestal.
