an auction find

Do you have any other pics? That is either the most modified b I have ever seen or as others have said it is not a b allis. Just about everything I see in the one pic does not match any b I have ever seen, (I.E the engine, manifold, front wishbone and rims, throttle linkage placement etc). The only thing that looks all is rear end and transmission.

It's an Allis model B. The engine is a flat head maybe a Hercules repower? The grill is an Allis with the expanded metal cut out and the grill inserts from maybe a Case LA?

Is there a plate between the engine and transmission?

It has a brass tag on the engine it says Waukesha, It does have a brass tag on the torque tube that says Allis-Chalmers B 32
But all the allis b's I have seen have the wire mesh front grille. I thought it might be from across the pond.

Does not look like any A/C tractor I Have ever seen. Looks more like a Case or a MH to me

If that's a Waukesha engine. That would make it an early 38 model. Very, very rare. The first B's didn't have an AC engine.

The grill is a model B grill. Someone has replaced the wire mesh with vertical bar grill from another machine.

Roger, What you have is a 1937 Allis-Chalmers B It is the 33rd tractor built in the Milwaukee company of Wisconsin
starting with number 0 to 99. I may be wrong on number sequence it could be the 32 tractor built of the B model.
You are lucky to have both brass tags from the engine and the tractor. The grille must be a replacement
of the wire mesh that is common to the tractor. I would assume it came from a Minneapolis Moline V but that is only a guess. It is a very good find as there was only 100 of these produced before Allis started to
use their own engines after the first year.

It's actually a 37 model. Year 38 started with B97.

Worked with a guy that had his dad's 37,I believe it was a single serial number like 7. He told me the factory man came to the farm several times to make engineering updates to the tractor in the first year. He has since passed. I don't know if the family still has the tractor or not. I have lost contact with the family since his passing. I think I have the serial number written somewhere, will try to locate it and maybe a family member.

There were 96 Waukesha B's built in 1937 and there are still 33 of them known to exist which is a pretty high percentage. As far as value they do not bring what one might think, in the last couple years there have been 3 that sold at auction that were in fully restored and correct condition and they only brought around $10,000.
