I just got a 1937 Allis Chalmers B Tractor # B-13040 to restore for a friend.I don't know much about Allis's as I have a
Case and
used Farmalls. I got this tractor in pieces with a rebuilt motor that was done several years
ago and never ran and now is stuck.
The shop manual I have for it is pretty generic from a B to a WD-45.
Where can I get a manual that is for a B with a mag. I don't
know if I have all the throttle controls ect.
Also if needed where can I get gaskets and other parts? This tractor also has a
belly mount mower and a set
of two way plows. Each of these units look bigger then the tractor. Thanks for any help and I'm sure
I'll be
back with more questions.

i got the manual for my ca off of ebay. might check there as they had all the implement manuals also.

Your tractor is actually a 1939 and should have hand brakes on it if original. The 2 way plows are a nice feature to have for it. As far as manuals I prefer a parts book that shows exploded views of everything and the order that they go together so you can see if you have all the right parts. These are available on ebay for around $20 or so, otherwise the IT manual you have usually covers it.

If it is the belly mount sickle bar mower send me an e-mail and I'll in turn send you the manual for it since I have it in this computer. If the engine is locked up from sitting I would fill the cylinders with ATF and let it sit a while

It does have indivdual hand brakes and no electric start. Interesting to find out it was 39. Thanks for the information
