WC cooling system question

My WC runs great and the temp gauge never runs very high right around 160-170 during operation but as soon as I shut it down in the shed it
seems to run up the gauge and gurgle. Is this normal? Or is something failing or plugged? Thanks

Pretty much a normal thing. Most any engine will do that right after being shut down since the block is still hot and now no coolant is being moved by the pump
