Pulling a D-17 Front

I supported mine with 2 pieces of 4" x 4" angle iron with x bracing bolted to the frame rails where the loader brackets bolt on back by bell housing. I made them just a little taller than the bolt holes jacked up the front end bolted on the angle iron. This allows you to remove front end and roll out of way and does not obstruct work on oil pan.

If you have a small cherry picker, connect a chain to both radiator mounting bolt holes for lifting/supporting the front end. The wide front axle will still need some guidance to keep from separating the pivot pin from the front support and when fully rolled out, set the front axle wishbone on a 5 gallon pail with a block of wood across it.
