B rocker arm

the tips of the rockers ( AC B ) are shaped like a "U". Is that the correct shape or are they just severly worn? I guess I just had them pictures as round.

If they are worn , is that something that can be replace or is it a whole new rocker?

thanks for the info !

If I understand what you are describing (no)

This is a picture of a rocker arm like yours being measured while being reconditioned.

How I recondition them.

we are talking the same "language". It would be very difficult to mic the ones I have because the extreme "U" on the one end ( it would be the end that is on the fixed end of your mic in your picture). What should that end look like ? Flat? Although my tractor runs, the rocker arms sit funny on top of the valve - not real centered either.

You look the person who knows this topic. What do you think.

Thanks again for your help

Not flat. It is in an arc that is done with the fixture seen in the picture to get the exact radius. I have never seen any that were dished out as bad as you say your are. Without seeing them I would guess that you will need different rocker arms. When I recondition a rocker assembly I check the rocker arm over the valves in a head as I assemble them. I have read on the boards that the rockers were offset to cause the valve to rotate. Any that I have removed from a head had some centered and some not. Some are centered over exhausts and some are centered over intakes. I have no idea of why but I center them by clamping them in a vise and adjusting them with a hammer. I have some that I have centered that have been running over 20 years without a valve problem. Who knows what 60 years would bring.
