B Allis steering box

Anyone have any suggestions for taking some of the slop out of a Ross steering box. Is it possible to build up the prong that rides in the worm? The adjusting screw helped a little but adjusting any tighter binds it up.

When adjusting the steering box do it with the wheels locked left or right as the most wear is incurred in the center of the gear and if you adjust it tight there when the steering is turned to the place its not worn it'll break the cast cover that holds the screw.Seen many that have been broken that way.Lots of tractors had the same set up and screw including some garden tractors.I probably have a half dozen screws here if I can find them.you can also grind a regular bolt to fit.
