question: who came out with the hand clutch AC or international (M)

there is a post on the Farmall page about an M with a hand clutch

Did the WD45 come out first with the hand clutch

AC came out with the hand clutch on the WD in 1948. It was not an after market add-on, like the Behlen on the M.

There was an after market hand clutch for the WC which allowed live pto.

Regardless of who was first the WD AC hand clutch was far superior to any I have seen on a M

yep A/C WD had a better hand clutch then the M&W add on to the Farmall tractors not to mention you cant buy parts for M&W anymore , i have a Farmall H with M&W PTO & a WD allis , the WD works nice for PTO but is a sorry pos. for traction , youll kill your self with a baler , chopper ,or haybine behind it , so what good is the pto anyhow , but i believe Oliver in the same year came out with live pto on the 77 , dont hold me to that thow
