I am looking at a very late model AC forage wagon but a bad wheel bearing ruined the hub. The owner does not know alot about it and it is several hours away. Most likely a six to eight ton gear. Did AC have a large choice of gears? Did they share hubs? Any idea where to start looking for one? Thanks Tom

AC bought their gears from electric wheel company so maybe expand your search since electric made gears for many implement companies..... I would assume the hubs would be interchangeable.

As stated, they were built by Electric and there were 3 models that I am aware of. I believe there was a 501, 701 and a 901. The 501 had 5 bolt hubs, the 701 had 6 bolt hubs, and the 901 had 8 bolt hubs. I have a 701 gear and it is identical to a 5026 Electric with the exception that the tie rods are behind the axle. Electric made gears for a lot of different companies including Montgomery Wards, Oliver, Case, and Allis Chalmers. It should be pretty easy to find a hub. If it is a 901 with the 8 bolt hubs, I have a couple laying around I would let go. Email is open.
