175 Allis hydraulic pump driveshaft

(quoted from post at 07:13:09 03/17/15) AGCO no longer supplies the hub for the hydraulic pump drive. Anyone got a source for the hub and shaft?

There are some NOS parts at some dealers yet, but hold onto your hat when you hear the price! I think I was quoted around $850 a few years ago from Walter's Implement here in WA. I found a splined coupler that seemed to fit the shaft at a bearing house and welded it on the nose of the hub which allowed it to use the unworn splines on the shaft. It only lasted about 40 hours before it stripped out, so it must have been too soft. I then just replaced it with one from my parts tractor which had been welded together by the previous owner....no more problems.

oh great, thats "good" news. they shouldve shot the guy who came up with that design, its complete junk. i have a '78 175 with that on, when i get the money and time, im going to split the tractor and put on the pump thats mounted in the belt pully hole.
