Let my WD sit a little too long, and now the starter is fubar. Anyone got a used starter they would be willing to part with?

The choke linkage is stuck as well, but I plan on putting a kit in the carb. I had the head machined about 5 years ago, so I'd like to get the tractor running again.
Appreciate any help anyone is able to offer.

Thanks!

Explain. Just because it sat a long time is not reason why the starter can not be repaired unless it sat under water half the time

When I went to check it over, the strap or cover over the opening towards the back of the starter was laying off to the side. Not sure how it came off or how long, but it basically has set out in the open like that for who knows?
At any rate, I thought it might be better to deal with a used starter rather than going thru this one, but I suppose a used one is going to need work also.

Anyway, I know the WD's getting old, so I figured the chances of finding a used one would be slim, but thought I'd ask.

Lots of used ones other there but many will be a crap shoot as for being good. I have one or 2 laying around but have no clue how good or bad they are

Ok. well if you would be willing to part with one, let me know how much you would nee?
I'll keep looking around as well

I'm pretty sure but not 100% sure the ones I have laying around do not work as they should but will try to remember to look

Ok. Thanks.
Don't want anyone to go to too much trouble. Like I said, I figured it'd be along shot trying to get one. I'lll probably have to rebuild this one or buy a new one, but like I said, thought I'd ask.

I do have a pile of old starters out in my shop so it is just a matter of look threw that pile

Ok. Well, like I said, I don't want to put anyone to any trouble. I went ahead and purchased one off eBay, but if that one doesn't pan out, I'll get back to you.
Thanks again for the offer and appreciate the help!

I have a reman one in stock I can sell you , I will need your old one for core , emails open for details .

Wish I would have seen your post before I bought the one from eBay. For some reason, it wasn't showing up for till now.
Anyway, if the one from eBay doesn't work, I'll get hold of you.

Glad I found this... anyone have a brush holder they would like to sell? I have one that melted due to a loose washer, starter still works but just a matter of time.
