Brake part prices crazy. XT190

So I go to the local AGCO dealer yesterday to pick up the parts for this XT190 I am working on. Complete set of brake disk and bands, springs, balls, etc for both sides. $850 give or take a few $. About fell down when he said that.
 
Yes, they are pretty well known for being stupid high for brake parts, and anything else for that matter. Most of the needed brake parts are available from A@I. I just did one and the bands are about $70 per side. Linings for the disks are about $25 per side. I would imagine they can be purchased here on the site. Bearing balls are cheaper at any supply house or order from Mcmaster Carr. The only AGCO only part I am aware of is the springs.
 
I did check this site and they and AGCO where about the same on the bands as in $40 either way per band. The guy who owns the tractor wanted new disk and all the parts that came with them and not have me do the rivet job on his old parts so got new. Good thing was when I went to finish paying for the parts the AGCO dealer had made a $200 mistake so the price is $200 less then what I had been told yesterday
 
Allis Chalmers parts are crazy high. I needed a bearing for a WD looked all over. No one but agco had it. They charged me $130 for the bearing and $90 for shipping. The bearing would have fit in a $5.95 flat rate box.
 
The brake bands pretty much the same price as this site had them. The other parts no one but AGCO had. But when I called them back today to finish paying up I was told they had made a $200 mistake so cost $200 less then what I was told
 
Hello on my xt's I have bought new linings and had them riveted on ( both bands and acuator )can't remeber the cost to the penny but it was less then 150$ for both sides . Good luck Bryan
 
Yes you can buy the brake linings and rivet them on but the guy who owns this tractor wants new stuff so I have to do as he wants done. This is also an early one so parts cost more then on the later ones
