Have u seen or know the where about of that biggest Allis-Chalmers crawler, I think it was called the HD-21. It had a 12 cylinder Cummins motor? I was told there was only 4 of them made?

Albany Minn. Pioneer Days has an Allis HD 41. A real monster!!

Pretty sure the AC show in Hutchinson Mn has one as well. Probably the same machine. The Upper Midwest AC Club I think it's called.

I don't know of any crawler they only made 4 of. The HD41 in Albany MN has a 12 cylinder cummins, 1710 cubic inch and weighs in at over 100,000 pounds.

HD41 from 1970-1974. HD41B Fiat/Allis from 1974-1982. Total production around 2700.

They closed the springfield Illinois plant in the early 1980s... At that time the 41B had just been changed to the FD50... meaning Fiat Dozer- 500 HP class......... maybe 50 were made. Plan was to move production to Italy.... not sure it ever got off the ground over there. The smaller FD40 which was a upgraded HD 31 was very popular at US mine sites.
