I am always amazed with my "45"...

AC made a Tractor with an "Attitude" when they made them...just Pull her Tail and she gets MAD, bellers and something's gotta Give..!!
They were a little hard on slip-clutches because of the snappy governors..!

Couldn't agree more. Nothing like the bark of the WD45. The one I grew up on left in the late 60's. I bought a fixer upper from a neighbor which was the same age as me. Between the narrow front and my need for money I traded it off. More recently I found one with so little use I had to buy it! It's married to a 6' bush hog.

Dad sold the team of horses and traded in his 37 CC Case for a new 51 WD and a cultivator. That had to be a big big jump forward in his farming operation. He must of been pretty proud at the time, No more hand cranking and now hydraulics. I was only 7 years old then.

Mine is in that same good condition having come from my Grandad's 64 acre Homestead..

That is why I was so ticked, when I found the Draw bar and the Sub-Soiler missing from there..

Going to be hard to find one in nearly unused condition..

This one had never been hooked to a baler..just ran an AC 66 combine and worked ground..

Next is going to be finding a New replacement muffler for it..the (Original Type) Nelson is getting a little loose..
Have any idea where to find one..?
I won't put any TSC crappy-sounding muffler on it..!

When I bought this tractor it had some junk muffler cobbed onto it. Aftermarket WD/WD45 one size fits all was $30. Local AGCO dealer had OEM for $90. I told them I would buy it if it was original. It was. I've heard Walker, and/or NAPA has one listed.

ya, it's kinda weird. My wd-45 and my wd engine in my wc both have strait pipe exhaust and the wd barks alot louder and snappier . I wounder if it's the crater cylinders in the 45 that reduces the bark ?

Originally the manifolds and muffler were different WD to WD45. But replacements are pretty much the same. Later WD had the taller head, like all WD45's. But the different displacement and pistons must make a big difference.
