Doesn't an M2 have the 301 diesel in it? No way that is going in a spot built for a 226 4 banger. Not sure what is wrong with yours, but for a few hundred dollars you can make it new again. No telling what abuse a 40 year old combine engine has seen.

HD6GTom is right. The D17 gas has a 226 ci four cylinder and so does the Gleaner E Combine. Now the D17 Diesel is a different animal, it took a 262 six cylinder
