can any one tell me if the aftermarket transmission gears are any good

Rebuilt a 190 trans with after market, guy used it for 6 years, then traded it off, no problems when he did. Only thing with after market gears, you have to change both, the one on the counter shaft, as well as the pinion shaft, after market won't match with orig.

Aftermarket will match nos gear. New gear and worn gear will not match. They will both wear excessively. New nos and new aftermarket will match

These days the gears the dealers sell and the aftermarket ones may be the same anyway.Just the price is different.
