Need more d17 series 4 help-- remote valve

What is the assembling procedure for this. My I&T manual just shows break down of parts. The valve and spool is still on the tractor. Cannt seem to get the detent balls to stay in place.

Thanks to all you Allis veterns,sure have been helping me out. I am used to IH.

Put some grease on the balls before assembly. Helps to keep them in place.
