I am going to look at a 14 fiat Allis. I wondered if these were good machines. Also can you still get parts for them? Did they use Allis motors? Thank you. Ryan

Perhaps someone with first hand experience will answer. I think some of the first "Fiat Allis" machines were just re-badged AC. Eventually they were all Fiat. I have an FD5. The only thing Allis about it is printed on the data tag. I have been satisfied with it. Now that Fiat owns New Holland, parts are easier to obtain than they were.

I used to have a Fiat Allis FL9 track loader. Hydraulic hose fittings
were hard to find, the kind of item you need in a hurry to get
working again. I never had to look for other parts while I owned it.
It operated well although it had poor visibility on your work from
the operator station. The Fiat Allis FR12 I used to have was virtually
a copy of the A-C TL 545 predecessor - good machine.

The small DOZERS were FD 5,7,9, 14 all came from Italy with IVECO motors.
The track type loaders were FL 5 ,7,9, 14 and were just DOZERS with buckets on the front- FIAT.
The wheel loaders with the FR 10 , 12, 15 were rebadged ALLIS 545, 606, 645 size machines. They put IVECO motors and new axles, etc... but a lot of the machine was original ALLIS.

I am looking at a t-7 14c dozer. It is a really nice machine but seems to be low houred. Howe've it will not answer either steering pedal. The return springs are both off the control rods and I can move them freely withe no resistance. Seems odd to me both sides are not working. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks. Ryan
