Hey everyone, I have a 57 D-14, burns oil. needs valves I think, but runs good and has plenty of compression, Im trying to get through the winter plowing and Im probably gonna do the valves. It fouls plugs and runs on two cylinders until it warms up, I redid the whole ignition system, cant remember which plugs I got, what ever the book said, which plugs do you use for your 14's? and what gap too? When I use it I use it for quite a while, plowing in winter and haybining in summer, so it does get hot, It just smokes blue smoke and stinks of exhaust and skips until it warms up, then it's still stinky but stops smoking thankfully. Long story short, which hotter plugs do you like for a D-14? I thank you, and my lungs thank you
Eric

Spark plug non-foulers will help. They screw onto the base of the plug and keep the plug farther away from the oil to prevent fouling. I use Auto-lite 295's

wow those sound vastly different, are they not as different as they sound? wondering which I should go with. Ive never heard of that anti foul piece, where do you get them?

You can get them on eBay. Just search for spark plug non-foulers

I have run across the "anti-foulers" a few times in my many years but had never used them for that purpose myself.
They have a new lease on life now; by doubling them up between the exhaust pipe and the down stream O2 sensor (which also has 18 MM threads), they will trick the computer so your vehicle will pass emissions.
I would guess the company that makes these is selling way, way more of them now than they ever did to stop plugs from fouling.
This really works but don't ask how I know. LOL
