Traction Booster story

I neglected to put the chains on my D17 in time for our big first snow. As a favor to my neighbors I plow the gravel road between the highway and my house. I usually try to peel back all the ice on the road with the blade. I was plowing along and hit a slicker spot on the road which slowed me down and the tires began to spin without the chains, suddenly the traction boost kicked in and the arms lifted it enough to keep my momentum. It was still set from plowing this late fall. I guess that's another use for traction boost. Anyone else had this happen before?

Yes. On the D series, with the separate lever, it's easy for that to happen. I've had it happen on my D15II with side mounted mower, and something hooked to the drawbar.

The AC "Traction Booster" on the WD and WD-45 anyway are PULL-Dependent..
If you have no traction, you won't get any weight transfer of raising of the lift arms unless you raise the Hyd. lever to get some traction...
It all depends on the amount of compression on the spring over the Hitch..
A very good device..!!
