serial # on Allis B

I have a ( what I have been told) a 1938 B. It is hand crank no electrics on her only the mag. Where do I find the serial number on this sweetheart?? I really like drive this tractor. I only use her for show but, I want to make sure she is what I have been told she is.. Thanks for your HELP!!!! Kenny

If it's a 1938 B, it should be SN B 97 to B 11800.

As Dicks picture show. They can be hard to read so carefully clean off the grease and dirt or you can if not careful remove the numbers

If your number is gone another way to tell the year
of an early B is the front wheels. There was some
overlaps but if your front wheels have a cast iron
center and the rim is attached with four clamps you
can call it a 38 and nobody can legitimately say
different. If the wheels are all steel and attached
to the hub with 5 rivets then you can say it is a
39. 40 and later had steel wheels attached with 5
cap crews.
